Each piece begins as a lump of clay and is slowly shaped on the potter's wheel or hand-built. After drying, surfaces are carved and textured by hand before the work is bisque fired, glazed, and fired again. Every stage of the process leaves its own mark, making each vessel unique. Rather than striving for perfection, I embrace the subtle variations that come from working with clay by hand.
Inspired by nature, texture, and the unique objects I discover while traveling, my work reflects a love of history, craftsmanship, and organic form.
